Superintendent, Kellogg School District| (208) 784-1348|nancy.larsen@kelloggschools.org

After being away from the Silver Valley for several years, I am so happy to be back serving as superintendent of Kellogg Schools. These schools formed the foundation of my education and I couldn't be more proud. My husband, Al, is also a Kellogg graduate and spends his days renovating houses in our valley. I love the newly renewed energy I find here and am honored to be part of the HSVCC's board.

Chanse was born in Coeur d'Alene and graduated from Post Falls High School in 2011. Immediately following high school, he enrolled at North Idaho College and then graduated in 2013 with an A.S. in History. Chanse then continued to pursue higher education and enrolled at the University of Idaho. In two years, he earned a B.S. in History. In addition to being a director with the Silver Valley Chamber of Commerce, Chanse works as the Managing Editor of the Shoshone News-Press and volunteers as the head coach of the University of Idaho Men's Ice Hockey Club. As a director with the chamber, he hopes to inspire unity among the communities in the Silver Valley and encourage those outside of the area to enjoy what Shoshone County has to offer.

I worked many years in the car industry being co owner of Dale's Used Cars in Kellogg.  After it moved to Coeur d Alene I began my 10 year journey with Dave Smith Motors as the first female team manager and then becoming Customer Service Manager for over 90 Sales men and service department.

Looking for a new challenge, I began my career in Real Estate which I have been doing for the past 9 years affliated with Silver Legacy Realty. One of the joys and benefits is showing my clients our community and everything it has to offer.  I believe in my community and have been involved in many civic organizations.

I have been the past President of the Historic Silver Valley Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis, Shoshone Medical Foundation Board, Women's Resource Center and have volunteered at many other charity events in the valley.  In 2012 I was awarded "Citizen of the Year."

I have two sons and four beautiful grandchildren.  I enjoy traveling, entertaining, cooking, sports, and most of all my family and friends.

I moved to Kellogg about two and half years ago after growing up in Missoula, Montana. I attended the University of Montana for a degree in teaching and then moved to the Valley to work at Kellogg High School as an English teacher and teach Creative Writing and Leadership as well. Since moving to Kellogg, I have helped organize numerous school and community events including KHS Homecoming, prom, Brawl for the Ball fundraisers, and multiple poetry readings. I love to bridge the gap between school and community and hope my involvement with the Chamber will help bring more students to community events. In her spare time, I like to go to the Farmers Market, ski at Silver Mountain, cook, run and hike with my dog and play ultimate frisbee.
