Presidents Message

Welcome to the Historic Silver Valley (A mining region).  I would like to invite you to join us in an area with beautiful mountains, running rivers and lakes cradled in a valley, part of Shoshone County, the 8^th largest county in Idaho.   With all the natural beauty, the valley also provides a safe, friendly, family oriented community.  The proud and capable residents and dedicated businesses strive to attract and maintain tourists, visitors, and possible new residents.  We have museums, an old mission, two beautiful walking and riding trails, hiking, rafting, hunting, fishing, mine tours, gondola rides, golfing, swimming, skiing, snowmobiling, ATVing, and self-guided tours, antique stores, other shopping, food services, silver and gold mines, the largest Dodge Dealer in the world; Dave Smith’s, or just a leisure and relaxed atmosphere for reasonable prices to help tourist enjoy their stay. You are a very short distance from Airport and large town amenities.   We also have many many events in the entire valley, year around, to keep you busy if that is your desire. There is Fun Runs, Bike races, Silver Hoops 3 on 3 basketball tourney, Gold Digger’s Auction, Circus, Flea markets, Huckleberry Fest, Street Fair, 4^th of July Celebrations, and Christmas Festivals, Parades, and Fireworks.
